Here we explain the kinds of information we process when you use Beans On Bar and how that information is used to keep the service working.
We process the information you enter into the app, including bean records, recipes, dial-ins, locations, team memberships, invite data, and equipment information. We also store preferences such as your active location, along with small local-browser settings used to improve your experience.
When you sign in, we may also process account details like your name, email address, role, permissions, and session metadata needed to authenticate you and keep the app secure.
We may also process basic technical data such as device type, browser information, and error logs when needed to support the service and diagnose issues.
We use the data in Beans On Bar to display your workspace, support recipe tracking, manage access, show analytics, and preserve the preferences you set while using the app.
Some information is also used to provide operational features such as sharing links, team invitations, permission checks, recipe verification notifications, and tutorial or onboarding state.
We may also use aggregated or anonymized information to improve the product, understand usage patterns, and keep the service reliable.
We do not sell your data. Some information may be visible to other members of your company according to their role and permission level. Some information is also shared when you deliberately generate a public or shared link for a recipe or dial-in. Always be careful when sharing links, as anyone with the link can view the shared content.
We may also share information with service providers that help us host, secure, or operate the application, but only to the extent necessary to provide the service.
We keep your data only as long as needed to operate the service and support your account. We do not keep any data after your account is deleted, except for anonymized analytics and audit logs. Please keep this in mind before deleting an account or any record or revoking access to a shared link, as we cannot recover deleted data.
All data is stored in secure cloud infrastructure. Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect the data stored in the application.
Local browser storage may be used for small preferences such as first-visit tutorial flags, or similar interface settings.
No online system is perfectly secure, so please use strong passwords or PINs and protect access to shared devices.
You can review, update, and remove many of the records you create in the app. If you have questions about data handling, contact your company's owner or the Beans On Bar support channel.
If you do not want a shared recipe link to remain accessible, remove the underlying record according to your organization’s policy.
Depending on your role, you may be able to request access, correction, export, or deletion of your account data from your organization administrator.
